Product Review: Cake Hair Products

This review is based entirely on my own experience with these products. It is not an advertisement, and I was not paid or compensated in any way to review or recommend them. All opinions expressed are my own.

As someone who’s always on the lookout for effective and affordable hair care products, I’ve been using Cake Hair Products in my heatless curl journey and am pleasantly surprised. Here’s a rundown of my thoughts on their key offerings:

1. The Curl Whip Mousse

Cake’s The Curl Whip Mousse is a standout in their lineup. It provides a nice amount of volume and holds my curls beautifully without making them stiff. The mousse has a sweet scent that’s light and pleasant, making the application process enjoyable. It’s a great addition to any styling routine for achieving bouncy, full-bodied hair.

2. The Big Wig Dry Texturing Spray

The Dry Texturing Spray is another winner from Cake. It adds excellent texture and lift, enhancing the natural movement of my hair. What I love most about this product is its strong, sugary scent. It has a warm, cooked sugar fragrance that lingers nicely and adds a touch of luxury to my styling routine. It’s perfect for adding volume and a bit of grit to my curls.

3. The Hold Out Flexy Hold Hair Spray

While the Hair Spray is decent and gets the job done, it’s not my favorite product in the Cake range. I like a stronger hold when I use hair spray. It provides a workable hold but doesn’t stand out compared to other hairsprays I’ve used. It’s fine for everyday use, but if you’re looking for something with a bit more staying power or shine, you might want to explore other options.

4. Thick Trick Styling Foam

The Thick Trick Styling Foam is effective for adding thickness and body to my hair. It does its job well, giving my hair a fuller appearance. However, the foam can be a bit sticky, which might not be ideal if you prefer a lighter feel. It’s worth noting for those who don’t mind a little stickiness in exchange for added volume and texture.

Overall Impressions

Cake Hair Products offer a solid range of options for anyone looking to enhance their hair routine without breaking the bank. Their mousse and texturing spray are particularly impressive, providing great performance and delightful scents. The hairspray and styling foam are functional but may not be as exceptional as the other products. All in all, Cake delivers quality hair care at a great price point, making them a brand worth trying for your styling needs.
