Honest Review: Zara High-Waisted Pants
As someone who values both style and comfort, I’m always on the lookout for clothing pieces that promise to deliver on both fronts. Recently, my coworkers were raving about about the Zara High-Waisted Pants and I decided to give them a try. However, my experience with these pants was a mix of hits and misses, and I’m here to share my honest review.
The Purchase: A Mix of Sizes and Colors
I knew I wanted a few pairs for my upcoming trip to New York City. Unsure how they’d fit, I purchased the black and pink in a Large and and XL in the tan, just to be safe.
In total I purchased three pairs. Because what’s life without whimsy?
The Fit: Not Quite Right?-Kinda
Unfortunately, my excitement was met with a bit of disappointment. The pink pants felt uncomfortably snug, causing me stomach aches when worn for extended periods. While the black pair fit better than the pink pair (say what?), the waist is a bit tight. It’s like I’m 5lbs too heavy and smack dab in the middle of two sizes.
As for the XL tan pants, they were simply way too big, leaving me with no choice but to keep them with their tags intact, awaiting their fate on Facebook Marketplace because I missed the window to return them.
Recommendation: A Niche Fit
In all honesty, I would recommend these pants to anyone with minimal tummy concerns. However, for those of us who are curvier, particularly in the hip and stomach area, these pants may not provide the ideal fit. The high waist is a plus, but the lack of room in the hips and around the waist may leave some feeling uncomfortable.
Final Thoughts: A Miss for Me-Kinda
Despite my disappointment with the fit, I must say the positives of these pants. The length is just right, and overall they are undeniably stylish. The high waist sits at a flattering point, and I’m loving the pressed look. The black fit me great. The pink leave me with a mega stomach ache by the end of the day.
While Zara’s High-Waisted Pants may be a standout piece for some, they may not be the perfect fit for everyone.
