Camillia’s Faves: Oil Perfumery’s Peony and Blush Suede
If you’ve read my previous blog post about Oil Perfumery’s Orange Blossom, you already know how impressed I was with their high-quality, long-lasting fragrances. Now, I’m excited to share my thoughts on another gem from Oil Perfumery: their Peony and Blush Suede dupe. This fragrance promises to deliver the same luxurious scent as Jo Malone’s original, but at a fraction of the price. Here’s my review after a few weeks of wear.
What I Love About Oil Perfumery’s Peony and Blush Suede
A Perfect Dupe
The first thing that impressed me about Oil Perfumery’s Peony and Blush Suede is how much it replicates the original scent by Jo Malone. The peony notes combined with the suede undertones create a balanced fragrance that is almost indistinguishable from the original.
Staying Power
One of my biggest gripes with Jo Malone perfumes is their lack of longevity. Thankfully, Oil Perfumery’s version lingers much longer. Often I apply in the morning and once around lunch and that’s all I need.
Easy Roll-On Application
As stated in my previous review, I’m not much a of a fan of the roll-on format. But now that I’m a convert, it allows for precise application, minimizing waste and ensuring that you get the most out of each bottle. It’s also incredibly convenient for travel.
Affordability
Perhaps the most appealing aspect is the price point. Oil Perfumery offers a high-quality product at a fraction of the cost of Jo Malone’s Peony and Blush Suede. This makes it accessible for those who love luxury fragrances who (like me) don’t want to spend a lot.
The Drawbacks
Initial Intensity
While there’s much to love, Oil Perfumery’s Peony and Blush Suede does have a few downsides. The scent is quite heavy upon initial application. It takes some time to mellow out, so you don’t need to use much. For some this may be a positive!
Personal Preference
Another potential drawback is that the scent isn’t universally appealing. While I adore the floral and suede combination, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. For those who do love it, though, it’s a winner.
If you’re a fan of Jo Malone’s Peony and Blush Suede or just on the hunt for a new signature scent, I highly recommend giving Oil Perfumery’s version a try. It’s a delightful, affordable luxury that’s sure to turn heads and garner compliments wherever you go.
